What I Bring

Twenty-five years in technology — from early-career engineer to cross-functional executive leader at companies like Amazon, PayPal, and Expedia — gave me a front-row seat to what makes people thrive at work, and what quietly erodes them. I've built and led teams across cultures, steered organizations through uncertainty, and sat with people through the transitions that don't come with a clear next step.

An MBA from Berkeley Haas and International Coaching Federation (ICF) certification gave me the framework. My career — and the hard pivots within it — gave me the understanding that no framework replaces genuine human curiosity and a willingness to sit with what's real.

Beyond work, I coach Destination Imagination teams for K–12 students — and serve on the board of LiteracySource, a community organization expanding adult literacy in the Seattle area. Both remind me that growth is possible at every stage — and that it's never too late to dare something new.

My Journey

To Dare is to Transition

Audere means "to dare." In my life, daring has rarely been a single, dramatic act. Instead, it has been a series of quiet, persistent pivots. It was the dare to move from a small town in India to the unfamiliar landscape of a global industry. It was the dare to transition from a technical contributor to a leader of people. And today, it is the dare to help other women author their own lives with that same intentionality.

The Courage of the Pivot

I spent over two decades navigating high-stakes professional environments. Along the way, I followed the traditional markers of success — earning degrees from BITS Pilani (one of India's top institutes), the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and UC Berkeley, and leading teams through complex transformations. But the most valuable lessons didn't come from the achievements; they came from the friction of the transitions themselves.

My perspective is shaped by the duality of my experience. As an immigrant woman, I have mastered the cultural agility required to rebuild an identity in a new world while performing at the highest levels. As a mother, I have been humbled by the realization that true leadership isn't about defining success for others, but about shining a light on their unique strengths.

From Products to People

After years of building complex systems, I realized my true fascination was with the people behind them — their dreams, their dilemmas, and the resilience required to sustain their impact. I founded Audere Coaching to move beyond the technical bubble and provide a strategic partnership for women in any field who are ready to bridge the gap between their expertise and the leadership maturity required for a long-term, flourishing career.

The Power of Potential

Raising my two daughters has been my most profound training in the power of potential. It taught me that while we can provide the foundation, we cannot author someone else's journey. But it was through coaching Destination Imagination teams — including my own daughters', over five seasons — that I saw this philosophy in action.

In the program, the rules are absolute: the coach cannot suggest solutions or steer the outcome. Your only job is to create a safe space, ask the right questions, and then get out of the way. Watching my daughters and their teammates arrive at solutions far more creative than anything I could have handed them taught me a vital truth: the role of a leader — and a coach — is not to have the answers, but to trust the room. It was the moment I stopped trying to be the smartest person in the room that the work became truly interesting.
